Cleaning cartridges are expensive…
The shaver itself is great but I didn't realize I'd be spending $15 every month on cleaning cartridges. It adds up to almost $200 a year on top of the purchase price.

I switched from cartridge razors hoping for the same closeness. It's good but if you need baby-smooth skin this isn't quite it, especially in the mustache area.

AutoSense technology and 4-directional flexing make it capable of handling 3–5 days of growth without multiple passes that irritate skin. Factor in the SmartCare Center's ongoing cartridge costs when budgeting, and budget for a replacement foil cassette after 18 months — but against the long-run cost of cartridge razors, it pays for itself.
