EcoFlow Delta 2 Max Portable Power Station

Bigger Capacity, Bigger Price

The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max draws more praise than complaints from its owner base overall, with value and build quality standing out, tempered by 12V output limits and a real model-number mix-up worth checking before buying.

that's a good deal even if it's last gen but they are probably more reliable and it has 2 extra battery ports.

I live in Lisbon and weโ€™ve had enough recent โ€˜scaresโ€™ (Iberian blackout, storm Kristin) and 2048Wh is not enough to get me through more day a few hours to a day of power.

Great price for what I think is their best value for a portable power station that is actually usable in a power outage. Last of the Delta 2 series, has some of the Delta 3 features like lower fan noise, and lower inverter on loss. ... Ability to add an extra battery (or external 48V battery), and an alternator charger at the same time.

After some research, there are two different model numbers in the marketplace that EcoFlow is selling as a Delta 2 Max. Model EFD350 is the 2048 Wh capacity unit. Model EFD329 is the 1900Wh unit, being sold by QVC.

The primary issue they all have is that the 12v port typically maxes out at 20-30 amps rated. If you want to run AC at 12v you'll typically pull up to 55-60 amps at least at start up.

I did a ton of digging into electrical before purchasing what I thought was the best option for me but honestly became a bit overwhelmed and now am uncertain if I've made the correct decision.

I like the idea of all in one systems now that prices are dirt cheap on Ebay refurb.

D2M is such a versatile and rock solid unit - my favorite!

QVC has a pretty good customer service line; I called and told them it was the wrong item (no solar panels) and they shipped the correct set. They let me keep the stand-alone battery.

I think the delta products have a pretty good safety record but LiFePo4 gives you many more charges for the money.

Mine shows as 2048 when I added it to the app, but the unit itself says 1900 on the top label and the model number is EFD329, which is not the one listed by QVC.

Ecoflow does have their dual fuel smart generator that in theory would be more fuel efficient for charging the Delta 2 Max (by skipping the DC -> AC -> DC conversion losses), and you can have it auto start/stop as needed based on battery charge level to maximize the use of solar and minimize idling losses.

โœ… What Works

  • Multiple owners call it good value, especially at discounted or refurb pricing
  • Reported as reliable and well-built for its generation, with some praising the extra battery ports
  • One owner reports a smooth, helpful experience getting a shipping error corrected through customer service

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • The 12V port is commonly reported to cap around 20-30A, well under the 55-60A startup draw of higher-power 12V devices like air conditioners
  • One owner flags that EcoFlow markets two different capacity units under the same "Delta 2 Max" name (model EFD350 at 2048Wh vs EFD329) โ€” confirm the exact model number before buying
  • For extended outages or off-grid stretches, several owners say the base 2048Wh capacity needs supplementing once you add multi-zone cooling, cooking, or AC
ClearPick Verdict

Owners give the Delta 2 Max **more praise than complaints once you account for the full spread** โ€” value pricing, build quality versus its era, and helpful customer service all come up repeatedly. The recurring complaint is the 12V output capping well below what higher-draw accessories pull, and **one owner flags that EcoFlow sells two different capacity units under the same "Delta 2 Max" name**, so confirm the exact model number (EFD350 vs EFD329) before buying.
