i have been playing 25 years and still use an epi standard for gigs despite owning multiple guitars that have much higher value (including a gibson les paul). The epi is a great guitar, enjoy!

I have a Korean Epi LP standard, and I will never get rid of it. Until I just recently happened across an '84 Gibson Explorer for a crazy good price, it was the best guitar I owned. Post Korean era Epiphones can have a pretty wide variance in quality, but when you find a good one, they'll easily be a "forever" guitar.

I found this used standard for $350 and it just feels amazing. It's a 2005, but everything works perfectly and there isn't a scratch on it. It sounds and feels so good I just want to practice and be able to actually make use of it.
