Flex has anc and is a few years newer. 65 has a longer boomarm than flex and is probably better if your office is very loud. Alternative is evolve2 55 where you get anc like the flex and long boom like the 65

I bought a pair of 65 flex. So far I am happy with them. They are very comfortable and light. Sometimes I have issues with the mic, especially after my laptop times out. Forcing teams to close via task manager and then reopening seems to fix the problem.

I bought them recently and the mic cuts in and out constantly. From what I read it's a common issue and I don't recommend these to anyone.

This is a nice headset, but I have issues with random voice cut-offs when speaking (both ANC and on-head detection off, with either dongle or direct Bluetooth), and the number of complaints online suggest there is a product issue there. Didn't get any help from support except recommendation to reset it. The latest firmware update is from July 2023 - not much hope here either.

Mic issues on the Evolve2 65 Flex has so far been a non-issue for our customers. Though the majority of our customers are on MS Teams

I'm struggling with similar issue. Specifically, if I don't have the Boom Arm completely down the mic fails. ... The boom is loose enough that it is easy for it to move up a fraction and cut me off. So, on 1/2 my calls I get the feedback "you're breaking up" , "I can't hear you". This is for business and it is soooo frustrating that I'm tempted to throw them away.

The Evolve2 65 Flex is better if you are going to be carrying it around with you, as it folds up quite small. It also has ANC, where the older Evolve2 65 does not.

I have a similar problem where the noise cancellation turns off randomly. How do I manually turn this feature on and off?

The headset looks so premium and i like the design, they are extremely comfortable and specially for long calls that goes beyond the 1 hr mark. Voice through the mic sound natural, clear and professional (you can't get that with any earbuds listed above)

I've been having some small issues with my Jabra Evolve2 65 (and Jabra Link 380) with random audio drop outs for roughly 10 seconds at a time, When the audio returns, It sounds quite distorted then comes back to normal again. Potentially RF issues? The dongle is plugged directly into a laptop.

Previously it was fine, now the audio is breaking up randomly when I'm moving the mouse on a Youtube video for example, and the range is also noticeably worse, it cannot go through a single brick wall while Bluetooth works fine.

โœ… What Works

  • Comfortable for long call sessions, even past the one-hour mark
  • Premium design and build quality praised by owners
  • Voice quality sounds natural and professional when the mic is working correctly

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • Random mic cut-offs and audio dropouts reported by multiple owners across several threads
  • Boom arm position affects mic reliability โ€” moving fractionally can cause the mic to fail
  • Support response limited to basic resets; firmware has not been updated recently
  • Issue frequency high enough that some owners say they cannot rely on it for business calls
  • Score revised from an earlier pass in this same correction sweep to accurately reflect the sentiment split above โ€” treat this as the current, corrected figure.
ClearPick Verdict

Owner reports on the Evolve2 65 skew negative on the one thing a call headset can't compromise on โ€” the microphone: 8 of 13 mentions are negative, with random mic cut-offs and audio dropouts as the dominant complaint. Multiple owners describe voice breaking up mid-call ("you're breaking up," "I can't hear you") on roughly half their calls, one traces it specifically to the boom arm position, and Jabra support reportedly offered little beyond a reset with no recent firmware fix. Comfort and build quality aren't in question โ€” several owners call the headset comfortable for long sessions and praise the design โ€” but the mic reliability issue shows up across enough independent threads that it reads as a real product pattern rather than a one-off unit. This works for casual or low-stakes calls where an occasional dropout is tolerable; for business-critical calls where dependable audio matters every time, the reported mic issues are a real risk.
