Both are great choices. If you don't often keep up with waxing or sealants, Ultimate has trace amounts of wax in it to help replenish lost protection overtime. Gold Class does not, and I personally prefer it that way, so I can apply the protection I want. Both are great choices though.
I've always liked Gold Class, the cheaper pink/purple meguiars soap isn't worth the cost cutting it really doesn't sud or feel as lubricated as gold class. I really wish they would bring back NXT wash though, that was by far my favorite car wash just because of the smell.

I have tried both and I prefer Gold Class since it is simple no frills shampoo. Both of them are good just different style.
the wash and wax is great if you dont keep up on wax/sealants. gold class is a good soap too, hard to beat it for the price. it leaves behind some polymers as a gloss enhancer but not intended for protection like the wash and wax.
Gold class is much better. I have used many soaps and the lubricity from gold class is top tier. The wash and wax is much harder to dillute in water. The wax part of it is negligible compared to any self applied protective coating.
Yeah, it's only $10 for 64oz bottle, and what is shown in picture 1 has lasted me 10 washes. This wash I put in a ton of extra soap too and I'm barely through the neck of the bottle
Here, I'll help you out since you are struggling. Use gold class and after the wash, dry with a drying towel. Use Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic wax. Watch their videos on how to use it. Should be all you need.
