Use it for anything you'd do in the oven. Its literally just a convection oven, but with much higher airflow. ... I use mine for mainly veggies and meats. I like using them for something like boneless thighs in a marinade. The marinade would just burn in a pan, but works nicely in the air fryer.
Omg. Dude. You know, I didn't think anything would get my tofu crispy or roast my green beans as well as the oven. The air fryer does it in less time without as much electricity use. My spouse roasts chicken thighs in them instead of ordering fried chicken. I air fry my assembled burritos and they're soo crunchy and good, no additional fat. Dehydrator function on that thing also makes zucchini chips in about three hours. It's a great appliance.
I have the analog version. Have you noticed you need to dial down the temp/time of cooking? If I were to follow cooking directions exactly, the food would be burnt or far too done.
Do that in the air fryer. Save electricity and probably do it a bit quicker (better airflow). Just treat it like a small, efficient and sometimes quicker oven.
Virtually no preheating either. Something like half the total time for a superior result depending on the recipe. ... I thought air fryers were stupid for years and I was SO WRONG you guys.
We haven't used our oven for anything since getting the Ninja. I like the ability to fold up and out of the way.
I ate tots for breakfast this morning, and they were fantastic. 10 minutes ont the air fryer and I had a salty carb breakfast. It was awesome. I would have had to heat the oven to 400 and baked them for 30 minutes, but the air fryer cut that short.
Im gonna have to disagree with you on that. I also have a toaster oven that has an air fryer function, and it is absolutely trash compared to the basket style air fryer I have. Basket style air fryers are the best style IMO. Maybe if you dont use an air fryer often enough, one that has multiple functions makes more sense. But I have never used a toaster oven style air fryer that did better than a basket style one. They just move so much more air.
Essentially the same machine as the 7 Qt DualZone with extra capacity. The upgrade makes sense for large families who batch cook.
