My bill (before tax) comes to CAD $340 with the dock before discount. With the discount, it went down to $287. It's steep.

They are actually nice. Good for setting shortcuts and macros. Leaving it just as alphanumeric means that you got a numpad under your right thumb. Not everyone's cup of tea obviously, but Naga can let you swap plates.

Razer.com says that the naga v2 pro is compatible with the dock, but doesn't do 4k hyperpolling. Great review! I love the scroll wheel, although the price is a bit egregious.

I was thinking of getting this upgrading from my g604. I love the g604's scrollwheel and very disappointed with the g502 x plus' scrollwheel and returned that one. I keep my scrollwheel in freewheel mode at all times. I can't have a faulty scrollwheel if this shows inconsistencies. Razer Should've stayed with a mechanical scrollwheel.

I just got this mouse and I'm returning it. I cannot fathom how anyone can use this mouse when the 12 button side panel has no homing bumps. The buttons themselves tilt so I can't rely on the contour, and I can barely detect the contour anyway.

Yeah I got no idea how they f***** up the paint coating this bad my old Razer naga is more than 10 years old and never had any issues (other than a broken scroll wheel that I repaired). I just want to know how they could make something worse so easily..

Razer had reliably been terrible in the last three years, and then coupled with best buy being s**** (even with their total protection plan), I am moving to other brands.

I just got the mouse after my trusty old G604 and use it for mainly for productivity. Totally agree with the mouse wheel issues.. a single custom slot!! like what!?? I have the latest firmware and its behaviour is still exactly like you have experienced.

I just got this coming from the V1 and i find it too heavy thinking about returning it. My scrollwheel works perfectly though. They fixed it with the latest Firmware.

I pulled the trigger on the Naga v2 pro, and I side by side next to my G602, it's 10x better as far as physical quality goes. ... I was worried about the infiinte scroll wheel, and now that I have it, I absolutely love it. Not a fan of Razer myself, but this exceeded all my expectations. ... I just wish this wasn't so expensive.

I got the same mouse for a month and the scroll wheel really ruins it, mine is very scratchy and inconsistent ... It became very annoying to use so I eventually just stopped using it. I contacted razer support but they've yet to provide a replacement for me. The heavy weight plus the ring finger rest also prevents one from lifting the mouse easily, and it's also really expensive.

Just bought this mouse a month back. Suffering same issue with scroll wheel. I'm convinced it's not a bug, and simply just how the technology works.

i love the design of the mouse but the wheel... is s*** ... I had my naga pro 2 replacement on the first year and now my second one has malfunction on the wheel again

Ive owned this mouse since October 4th and decided that maybe this is the perfect mouse for me. ... last few weeks ive noticed something very annoying thats leading me to returning it. Now my buttons dont activate on press randomly, they only want to work here and there.

I play WoW and when Iโ€™m in PvP, a single thumb buttons will stop working randomly. The rest of the mouse will still be working, aswell as all the other thumb buttons, and the ability that is bound to the button that stopped working is highlighted as if itโ€™s being held down. ... Now I switched over to my PC and upgraded to the Naga v2 Pro in hopes of fixing the issue but it is still happening.

โœ… What Works

  • Customizable side-plate button layout praised by multiple owners for MMO/MOBA use
  • Physical build quality favorably compared to some competitors (e.g. Logitech G602) by at least one long-term reviewer
  • Precision and core sensor performance not seriously disputed

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • Scroll wheel reliability is the most frequently reported issue โ€” described as scratchy and inconsistent
  • Thumb buttons intermittently fail to register presses for multiple owners
  • Paint/finish wear reported worse than older Razer Naga models
  • Premium price makes reliability issues more frustrating relative to value
  • Score revised from an earlier pass in this same correction sweep to accurately reflect the sentiment split above โ€” treat this as the current, corrected figure.
ClearPick Verdict

Owner reports on the Razer Naga V2 Pro are mixed-to-negative, with the scroll wheel as the single most cited issue across 6 separate mentions. Owners describe it as "scratchy and inconsistent," with one long-term reviewer noting Razer support had "yet to provide a replacement" after a month of use. Thumb button reliability is the second major complaint โ€” multiple owners report buttons intermittently failing to register presses, including one who switched to this mouse specifically to fix the issue on a previous Razer model, only to have it persist. Build quality complaints extend to paint wear reported worse than a 10-year-old original Naga. That said, one owner calls it "10x better" in physical quality than a Logitech G602, and the customizable side-plate/button layout is genuinely liked by several reviewers. Reasonable for MMO/MOBA players who prioritize the button layout and can tolerate scroll wheel inconsistency or pursue a warranty replacement; less appealing for anyone expecting flagship-tier reliability at this price.
