The momentum 4 already had amazing audio for it's price bracket, noise cancelling is one of the few things that they could improve upon

Glad they are great functionally, but the redesign definitely took away a lot of their character

they wanted touch controls (which shockingly work well)

My Momentum 4 has been s*** with regards to moisture sensitivity. It seals around the ears as it should but after a short while when this naturally leads to increased moisture the headphones become unusable.

Wearing mine right now and love it, but the noise cancellation is fine, it does its job enough compared to some others, although the automatic controls is frustrating.

Better than the b&w, similar to AirPods Max, worse than Sony. Everything is worse than Sony though

Yes the user replacable battery is a game changer. Snapdragon sound, lossless audio over wireless. My M4,s are going strong, but I know what the replacement will be when it's time.

yeah buddy these are super nice on the ears. The fake leather is nice and mostly breathable but whatever voodoo magic they use to distribute the weight is really nice

The bass is punchy where appropriate and the mids and highs are not only audible but distinguishable from each other during "busy" songs.

โœ… What Works

  • Sound quality is the most repeated praise โ€” punchy bass, and mids/highs that stay distinguishable even in dense mixes โ€” 2+ mentions.
  • Comfort holds up on long sessions: the fake-leather earpads are breathable and the weight distribution draws unprompted praise.
  • The user-replaceable battery is called a genuine longevity feature โ€” one owner is already planning to buy the next Momentum on the strength of it alone.
  • Touch controls work better than expected, cited as a pleasant surprise rather than the usual complaint about touch controls on headphones.

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • Moisture sensitivity is a real functional complaint, not a nitpick โ€” one owner reports the earcups become unusable once they seal in sweat during use.
  • Noise cancellation is described as "fine" rather than a strength โ€” competitive with mid-tier options but explicitly behind Sony, which owners raise unprompted in comparisons.
  • The redesign is polarizing: functionally better for some, but owners who liked the earlier model's character say this one lost it.
  • Automatic controls frustrate at least one owner enough to mention it alongside otherwise positive praise.
ClearPick Verdict

Sound quality is the headline owners keep coming back to โ€” punchy bass with mids and highs that stay distinguishable in busy mixes, and more than one owner calls it excellent for the price bracket. Comfort and the user-replaceable battery draw specific praise too, with one owner already planning their next Momentum for exactly that reason. The real caveat is moisture: one owner reports the earcups become unusable once sweat builds up during a session, a functional complaint rather than a nitpick. Noise cancellation gets called "fine" rather than best-in-class, automatic controls frustrate at least one owner, and the redesign traded away some of the earlier model's character for a more clinical look. Buy this for sound quality and all-day comfort in dry conditions; think twice if you plan to wear them for workouts or humid commutes.
