I've had mine for at least 2 years if not 3, and I haven't had any of these issues. My headset starts low battery beeping like 5 minutes before it dies. Only thing I can say is that I have replaced the ear cushions with the wicked ones, but I did that as soon as I bought them.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is the most feature-complete gaming headset available in Canada โ it uses a hot-swap battery system so you never run out mid-game (swap and keep playing), includes an active noise-cancellation mode rare in gaming headsets, and supports simultaneous 2.4GHz + Bluetooth connections. It's the headset serious PC and PlayStation gamers reach for when they don't want compromises.

Great price if good condition. Amazing utility for everyday use, they battery swap alone is goated.
I've had my headset for almost 3 years and have had almost no issues aside from the earcups starting to tear, which is a normal wear item. I'll occasionally get a loud static that will force me to restart my headset, but it happens maybe every 3 months or so?
This was one of the couple reason I chose the Nova Pros . I went from A50 Gen 3's to Artics pro to the Nova Pros, the battery swapping, the easier customization that Wicked cushions offer, and the way they look as the blend in a bit better as a regular pair of cans if I had to step out the house with them. The A50s base pissed me off towards the end so I think that's why I soured on them
I love mine, use it for work everyday and at night for gaming. The cushions are a little shallow, when I got it I could feel the noise cancellation mic inside them. I bought an upgraded set of ear cushions from wicked cushions to address that when I first bought these a few years ago. the headphones can do a bluetooth connection, so it can connect to your ipad that way.
I literally use less than 3 months and my volume knob GameDAC just broken. If I slide it left or right, the gamedac instantly goes right and max volume. I bought this nova pro wireless japan set version so warranty is out of the question. Idk how to fix this
I had the arctis pro, Firmware update bricked it, RMA process got me a nova pro as replacement and it honestly feels like a downgrade
Absolutely garbage software. Constantly crashes. If I was still within my return window, I would send them back immediately.
It still holds up very well. Even at 2+ years old, it's still one of the best wireless headsets you can buy. It's overall the best wireless gaming headset with ANC on the market right now. Any new Nova Pro Wireless from the past year+ has a smaller ANC bump, so it's more comfortable.
I love mine and have no issues. The fit is great, nothing sticks in my ears (I have the V1 version) the sound quality is very good (depth could be better) and simultaneous audio from my PC and my phone via Bluetooth (I use Tidel to listen to some driving tunes while driving) is a feature I want to see on more wireless headphones. I've owned them for 3 years now and I'm very happy.
ANPW is the best headphones i've tried, I'm using it for 2 and half years now and it works like was new. Buying a 3rd party cushion is a must IMO, got my 2nd earpads from Wicked cushions and headband last month.
The Bluetooth actually works well dual connection even I'll often play music from my phone while I game so I don't need to switch. Do look up proper eq curve to get the most from them. One important note:for some dumb reason turning them off NOT turn off the Bluetooth make sure to turn it off separately, same with auto turn off after 30 minutes.
I will see you in a year when the cheap plastic hinges snap, for the "I'll never buy another Steelseries product" post
โ What Works
- Active noise cancellation in a gaming headset delivers genuine isolation comparable to consumer ANC headphones โ meaningful for Canadian gamers in shared spaces or noisy apartments
- Dual wireless with simultaneous 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth audio means phone calls, music, and Discord all work at the same time without switching inputs
- Swappable battery system with a charging dock base station eliminates battery anxiety for long gaming sessions
- Parametric EQ with 10 bands and the SteelSeries GG app allows more precise audio tuning than any other gaming headset โ optimize for competitive footstep detection or cinematic immersion
โ ๏ธ Worth Knowing
- Premium pricing is the highest in the mainstream gaming headset category โ the ANC, dual wireless, and swappable battery all need to matter to your use case to justify it
- The base station is large and requires permanent desk space โ not ideal for minimalist setups or gamers who move equipment frequently
- ANC performance is excellent for a gaming headset but doesn't quite reach Sony WH-1000XM5 levels โ best ANC in gaming headsets not best ANC overall
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is the gaming headset for Canadian players who want premium everything โ ANC, dual wireless, swappable battery, and deep audio customization โ in one package. It's the most fully-featured gaming headset available and the price reflects that. If you game in a noisy environment, switch between PC and console, and want professional-grade audio tuning, this is the benchmark everything else is measured against.
