I did on both of mine and just use bluetooth and my batteries have lasted months. I use my 2 locks in homekit and they work perfectly without that module.

One advantage of the Yale lock is that it has replaceable modules for wireless protocols. I'm hoping they come out with a Thread version in the not-too-distant future.
I have one of these and had similar issues. It has constant issues unless it's within eyesight of a bluetooth HomePod, etc. It literally will start getting flaky if \*anything\* is in the way. Nothing can block it.
Absolutely love it. Use our lock at least 5 times a day and the battery lasts about 6 months. I have the Bluetooth only version and only use it with HomeKey. Have never really had any issues with it outside of some user error with other members of the house haha
The battery on a wifi lock is only going to last about 6 months or so, therefore, I would not buy the wifi lock.
I have an Assure Lock 2 Plus and I don't see any physical indicators even though the app shows me the low battery warning. Yale support is of no help. They replaced my inside unit 2 times but I continue to have the same problem.
The Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus is the best cross-platform smart deadbolt for households with mixed Apple/Android devices or multiple smart home ecosystems โ Matter support, 250 access codes, and built-in Wi-Fi cover every integration scenario. It's the clear choice over the Schlage for Android users, rental properties, and anyone who doesn't need Apple Home Key tap-to-unlock.
