I did a lot of research into top brands, unbiased recommendations, and even reddit recommendations because me and my partner both have medical conditions that cause back and joint pain, I ended up on a Douglas. It's the right amount of firm yet soft top, great support, it came with everything like sheets, pillows, pillow and bed protectors, and most important to me was their warranty, 20 year guarantee that it won't sag.
I have three of them. When we have guest stay, they often comment on how comfortable the beds are.
I can't speak to the hybrid alpine, but I ordered a douglas original about 3 years ago and the mattress has held up really well, it's still very comfortable. I'm a frequent side sleeper and I don't have any complaints.
We have had both the Endy and Douglas. Prefer the Douglas by far. I used to wake up with lower back pain with the Endy. Haven't had that problem with the Douglas.
We had ours for about 6 or 7 years, dosent hold up too well, depesions stuck and very noticable after uear 3 or so, but hasnt gotte much worse. Ready to replace it but wouldnt go with them again

Agreed. Mine was good for 3.5 years. Started to lose sleep after year 4. It's unfortunate. I loved it for the first 3.5 years. I had to throw it out due to mold recently as it wasn't salvageable, but at least now I'll be able to get something else.
Douglas. We adore ours, bought it in 2020 and I really cannot recommend it enough. No issues whatsoever.
I've owned 2 Douglas, one queen and now a king. Love it, holding up well 5+ years on. The ability to add a split topper so I get a firmer feel while the wife sinks in is great.
The Douglas Mattress is the best value Canadian mattress — $176 less than the Endy Original with a longer trial and warranty. If you prefer medium-firm over medium, the Douglas is the right choice. Side sleepers should consider the Endy Original instead.
