EGO Power+ LB6504 650 CFM Cordless Leaf Blower

Best Overall Cordless Leaf Blower

The EGO Power+ LB6504 is the most powerful cordless leaf blower in Canada, delivering 650 CFM of airflow and 180 MPH wind speed on a 56V lithium-ion battery โ€” matching or exceeding most mid-range gas blowers without exhaust fumes or pull-cord frustration. The variable-speed trigger and turbo button give you precise control from clearing a patio to moving wet leaves, while the 2.5 Ah battery powers up to 75 minutes of run time at low speed.

I've always done this method, you just buy the kit take the battery then list the tool on ebay. I got all my batteries for less than $50

I snagged one of these at a local Lowes. Anyone have any comments on the comparison between the 650 and 765? Is the 765 a big jump up or not very noticeable?

Great find. A 5ah battery is $249 retail, so even if one doesn't need the blower it's a $50 discount on the battery. Also a good candidate for the Lowe's extended warranty program, which is mostly just good for $100 rebate every year for a new battery.

They can be sold as new because you don't use them, you keep them in the box, new. For example this year I got the 16 inch chainsaw kit for $200 which is the chainsaw, 5.0ah battery and charger. I sold the chainsaw for $135 and the charger for $20 after ebay fees. That means the battery cost me $45. You just need to get a good deal on a kit from a sale, but even if you don't then you can still get the batteries for alot cheaper than retail. In this case, you could sell the blower for probably $160 and get about $145 after ebay fees, and $20 for the charger and get the 5.0ah battery for $35. It takes a little effort but it's worth it to me to save the $100+

Yeah I feel like it's actually a pretty common method, and it's actually beneficial for both parties, you get batteries for cheap and they get a cheaper tool, win-win.

Interesting. As the tool buyer, you lose out on the warranty though, right? I would want a heavy discount for that.

The best thing you could do was buy it on FB... i got my blower for in May 22' for 75 more on mercari. Amazon has it for $210 at the moment.

I did the same thing. Sold the leaf blower locally the same day it shipped for $100. Now I have a fresh 5 aH battery that has more power than my 7.5ah from 2016.

Talking about a normal kit: tool + battery + charger. Just take out the battery and charger, leave the tool in the box and list it for sale as tool only along with the charger assuming you don't want another, and wait a couple days for someone to buy each, slap the label on, drop off at shipping store, wait for it to be delivered then get the payout. Not hard, to do, but if you've never sold anything online there might be a slight learning curve to how to make a good listing and having an ebay account with a 0 seller score might deter some buyers. If you could get a deal with an extra battery that would be even better if you are just after the batteries.

Yeah but unless there is a known issue, the battery warranty is usually the one you want

I just found the 765cfm on Facebook market for $200. I bought it and plan to return the 650cfm. I'm a little nervous about not having a warranty but seemed like the deal was good enough to make the jump.

โœ… What Works

  • 650 CFM turbo mode clears wet fall leaves, gravel, and mud that smaller blowers just push around โ€” Canadian users consistently report it handles Manitoba and Ontario fall cleanup in a fraction of the time of gas blowers
  • At 64 dB it's significantly quieter than gas alternatives โ€” municipal noise bylaws and early morning cleanup are real considerations in Canadian suburbs and this clears that bar easily
  • The 56V battery is cross-compatible with the entire EGO platform โ€” one battery runs your trimmer, chainsaw, and mower, which matters when Canadian winters mean you're storing multiple tools
  • IPX4 weather resistance means it handles light rain without issue โ€” useful during unpredictable Canadian spring and fall weather

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • Turbo mode burns through the battery in about 15-25 minutes โ€” large properties may need a spare 56V battery for a single session
  • At 2.7 kg without the battery it's heavier than entry-level blowers โ€” manageable for most users but worth knowing for anyone with wrist or shoulder issues
  • Better for homeowners than landscapers doing multi-hour commercial work โ€” battery runtime is excellent for residential lots but gas still wins for all-day professional jobs
ClearPick Verdict

The EGO LB6504 is the cordless leaf blower that finally convinced Canadian homeowners to ditch gas. The 650 CFM output handles everything a typical suburban lot throws at it โ€” wet fall leaves, pine needles, light snow off decks โ€” and the quiet operation means early morning cleanup without waking the street. If you're already in the EGO 56V ecosystem it's a natural add. If you're not, it's still worth building around.
