yes, it's the same as jump starting your car. Everyone should have one of these jump packs anyway. That said, for this you should really look at the Noco Genius1 and just leave the generator plugged in 24/7.

I have done it. I have the noco extension cables mounted to the battery just for this reason. But, I would just replace the battery. I have had pretty good luck with the interstate agm battery starting in below zero temps.
I've also looked at the NOCO but what sticks out to me is that you get a 50/50 of it working apparently from the reviews off amazon.
I talked to NOCO today and they confirmed it would work fine with this generator.
I replaced my generator battery with a lifepo4 battery. I was tired of the lead acid batteries going bad every few years. And the lithium battery isn't that much more expensive and should last for the rest of the life of the generator.
Are we supposed to know by "Ariens Pro 28" whether your electric starter is AC or DC? Hint: I'd say 9 out of 10 snowblowers (or more) that have electric starters are going to need AC, so the answer is likely no.
I've jump-started generators and mowers using jumper cables and my truck. I'm cheap though.
As an option, if you do need to pull start it, give it a good shot of starting fluid prior to pulling. Makes it a lot easier.
