S10 FE+ is exactly the tablet for exactly your use case. No, you don't need to bite the bullet here and overspend, pocket the extra $300.

The s10+ is ideal but if your usage is casual and not wanting to connect to a monitor or any heavy editing then the FE one can be an option

Fe has bigger screen and color accurate enough for drawing. Unless you plan to connect it to PC as graphic display FE seems better choice

the S10 FE+ has a display that's rated to be nearly identical as the one on the S8+, I have seen both side by side and they are almost the same

Happy usage! I also was tempted for FE+, but it's overkill for my sketches and I prefer portability, so FE was enough

You can get the S10 FE+ with the same performance and a larger display for like $425 even if it is LCD

I would definitely get the Tab S10 FE+ as you are getting a bigger discount on the FE+ and everything you describe you want to do on the tablet could easily be done on the FE+. No need to spend the extra $300.

I just bought the s10 FE plus for my exams for end of scolarization specialty exam. I am very eased with it. Since I also use it for note taking and drawings and reading a lot of medical materials (and those are a problem to read on tablets especially if you need to take notes at the same time). ... I chose s10fe plus over the s10 plus because of price 1st and screen size 2nd. I really apreciate the bigger screen.

โœ… What Works

  • S Pen included at $599 โ€” getting stylus support at this price point is exceptional value. Competing tablets from Apple and others charge extra for stylus accessories.
  • Large 10,090 mAh battery provides all-day use โ€” one of the largest batteries relative to price in the tablet category, lasting 14โ€“16 hours in light use.

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • LCD display is less impressive than AMOLED alternatives โ€” the 90Hz LCD is good but doesn't match the AMOLED quality of the Tab S10+ at $500 more.
  • Exynos 1480 is mid-range, not flagship โ€” handles everyday tasks easily but shows slowdowns in demanding games and heavy multitasking.
ClearPick Verdict

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is the best mid-range Android tablet for users who want S Pen support without paying flagship prices. The LCD display and Exynos chip are the key compromises. If your budget stretches to $1,099, the Tab S10+ is the better long-term buy.
