I bought a very good condition used m7 last year as was fed up of carrying around so much stuff (getting old) with my Canon. I am very pleased with it as it pops into a pocket or smaller bag. The photos are high quality with so many options and controls to play with so your arty side can flourish. The only down side for me is I need my reading glasses to see the screen and controls but I tend to use the viewfinder for detailed photos.

The current price is too much perhaps but it's a fun little camera. Not sure how many manufacturers are still in the point and shoot business but I've been enjoying it for my use (sports, concerts and casual walks). My a7rV is too big sometimes but it has spoiled me because I know of the quality difference in the images but I have to remind myself it's a 7 year old camera with a smaller sensor. I'm happy when I bought this year.

For a pocket camera its an absolute beast. Easily could use it professionally if you want as well. Theirs a reason for its price and why its so popular alot of people are tired of hugging around big ass rigs.

I used it while hiking the 2650 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. I wanted something compact and light. I liked it a lot. Battery last along time. Super easy to transfer photos to my phone via WiFi. The pictures I took, I feel, turned out a lot better than some of the people I met with full frame cameras. Although if I ever did that again I would probably upgrade and be willing to carry something heavier with interchangeable lenses.

The focusing looks like it's up there with the high-end Sony cameras, though I imagine it's going to struggle more than say an A7iii or an A9 in really challenging lighting (e.g. backlit with the subject in a low-light area). Honestly though, the thing does 20fps with no blackout, same as the A9. In a point-and-shoot. That's absurd. And it's got the real time tracking form the A9/A6400, which is supposed to be phenomenal. AF isn't a great strength of M4/3 at the best of times; the EM1ii was pretty impressive when it came out, but the A9 absolutely blew it out of the park, and the A9 AF has improved massively since then. It's more than just sensor size, Sony's just absolutely nailed their AF, and I'd expect that this thing will out-perform anything that's not absolutely top-end in that respect* in acceptable light. Again, it probably will struggle somewhat in low light, but I strongly suspect that it'll beat out most other cameras with regards to AF, even with it's much smaller sensor.
