Lots of people love this chair, especially because it grows with your child so you can use it for years. This post attracted the haters lol. I absolutely love my Tripp trapp because of the newborn attachment, so my little baby can sit up at the table with us.
We bought a Tripp Trapp when my son was about 22 months because he refused to sit in his high chair. He has no problem sitting on the Tripp Trapp! (Currently 28 months) I wish we had gotten it sooner.
My sis in law got a secondhand one for her now eighteen year old and she still sits on it 😂
Love the Tripp Trapp and don't find the straps to be an issue. We use a pocket bib and it covers them up so they rarely get anything on them at all, and I just wipe them with a damp cloth. I find it a bit ridiculous to say the product sucks when that's your only issue with it.
We went with the Mockingbird because it is so easy to clean, underneath the Tripp trapp is a nightmare to clean but it definitely looks very pretty.
A good alternative is the Keekaroo! We finally ditched our Tripp Trapp high chair because of the tray and the awful harness (our baby, now 13mo kept getting out of it). We got the Keekaroo (recommended by SIL) because the underside of the tray is flat, it has a plastic cover that is easy to take off and wash, and it has a 3-point lap belt rather than a 5-point harness. You can also keep the tray off and push baby right up to table. We have the infant seat and baby loves sitting in it. It was always a battle getting them into the Stoke chair but they are more than happy to go into the Keekaroo. And we were able to get it in a color that matches our dining table! We love it and it is so much better than the Stoke chair.
