Same thing, I had the chance to try one and didn't like it at all for long periods of time. Switched to Amia and it's much better.

I haven't tried the Herman Miller Mira. However, my previous work had the HM Aeron. I could never get used to the mesh seat and mesh back, always had to use a blanket or jacket because the building always had the AC blasted in the summer. The job I had after had a Steelcase Leap with headrest. I used it daily for almost 6 years and it was like new; I much preferred that one and eventually bought one for my home office.

Love the Leap and the Leap 2. As others have said, seat depth adjustment is key. I also sit on an HM Areon and a HS Freedom which are also good chairs but the Leaps are built like a tank.

I've bought 3 used ones, they work. The cylinders have lasted ME more than 10 years. The bottom padding was worn thought, whoever used it before was fat. there's a way to replace it but it involves some disassembly and work. You can reduce the work by buying a precut replacement foam. About $100+

Im only comfortable in my leap with the lumbar in the back, all the way down to the bottom. I also found its important to have the seat depth dialed in, since the bottom cushion is more contoured. I prefer mine further out.
