reading how you appreciate the instrument separation and vocal intimacy makes me really hope you get to listen to a legit HiFi system one day. If you already love the Emberton for this, a real setup would probably blow your mind!

i had both of them months ago and i can say charge 6 is way better 45W vs 20W from marshall jbl reaches deeper and louder in bass better mids but the highs is always problem at high volume sounding too harsh on the other hand the marshall is more portable it is loud for its size but there is barely bass the 360 sound will work only if you have the speaker facing side way either way you loose the stereo seperation and the marshall is mostly good for indoors

I've just listened to both for a full week, and I'm keeping the Emberton III and returning the Charge 6. For jazz, classical and yacht rock, the mids of the Emberton show much more color, and its mid-highs (especially vocals) are particularly agile and well-rounded. There is of course less bass with the smaller speaker, but I prefer this. On the other hand, I found the Charge 6 to be impressively loud, but hugely V-shaped, with exhausting, relentless bass and fairly shrill ... highs. ... the Emberton wins out on nuance and for all-day listening by a huge margin.

Yes, I hope too. My immediate thought after Listening to Marshall for few hours, I started exploring a bigger setup and I had to close the browser looking at the prices ๐Ÿ˜† but being ambitious here, one day ๐Ÿ™Œ

This! The standard trick of huge bass and forward treble designed to impressed in minutes used have me believing that a good speaker had to have my windows and shit shaking. The best speaker is in fact one that just makes every note sound beautiful in a way thats not fatiguing and allows you to have on all day. For me, this was the Beosound A9. But funnily I walked into a sushi place after I bought my A9 and they had on a speaker that gave the same feeling. And it was the Marshall Acton III. I loved it so much ... Marshall makes awesome stuff! Enjoy the Emberton man

Just got 2 of these on Prime Day. Great sound. Highly recommend them after having the Marshall Emberton and Klipsch Nashville - returned em both.

The Emberton III has serious battery life, which may be a consideration for you. And its sound is good, if not great. It's a very sculpted sound, though.

Some tracks that genuinely blew me away: Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, Naan Nee, Vidai Kodu Engal Naade, Goosebumps intro vocals, The Life of Ram, Starboy. Funny thing is, this speaker kind of changed what I pay attention to in music now. Initially I was chasing punchy bass, but after a few hours with this, I started caring more about warmth, groove, vocal intimacy, layering and detail.

Take the Stockwell II and the Emberton, for exampleโ€”those are wonderful speakers. They have that "sonic magic"!

โœ… What Works

  • 30-hour battery is the longest in this category โ€” over a full weekend of use at 8 hours/day, the Marshall Emberton III won't need charging.
  • Marshall's warm, mid-forward sound signature is distinctive โ€” guitars and vocals sound particularly rich; ideal for rock, blues, and acoustic music fans.

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • Sound signature is warm and mid-forward, not neutral โ€” users who prefer reference-flat or bass-heavy tuning may find the Marshall sound less suited to EDM or hip-hop.
  • More expensive than the JBL Flip 7 for similar output volume โ€” the $20 premium buys better design and battery life, not more volume.
ClearPick Verdict

The Marshall Emberton III is the best portable speaker for music listeners who care as much about how their speaker looks as how it sounds โ€” the iconic Marshall aesthetic, 30-hour battery, and warm sound signature are a package no competitor matches. For pure sound-per-dollar, the JBL Flip 7 and Anker Motion X600 deliver more.
