Got a Roborock QRevo S. Already smitten. It's mapped, vacuumed and mopped the floor inside an hour, and it's done a better job than I would have. App was super easy to use. It avoided all my shoes, clothes etc.

I purchased my Roborock Qrevo S in November 2024, so it's out of warranty. It's been working great up until recently, but now I'm having a major issue with the mop system... As soon as it leaves the dock, it starts dripping a steady stream of water from the rear of the robot, near the water refill port.

I have moved it to a non-carpeted room. I assume the damage/dirt is from the mop pads. Now I am wondering if it is doing this to my area rugs. I love that this unit mops and want to continue using it.

I bought this Qrevo S just some weeks ago and its lidar sensor stopped spinning due to hair yesterday. We don't have pets / lots of hair around the house so unsure how this happened that quick... maybe this Qrevo S was poorly designed? I am a bit disappointed.

A year ago I switched from the shark matrix vacmop to the Qrevo S and while I enjoy having it, the mop and navigation do leave a bit to be desired... the mop fails to clean well enough that I can go even 2 days without needing to break out the manual mop/bucket. Honestly I think my shark was better for mopping.

That's crazy. My robot was purchased January 2025 and I'm actually dealing with the exact same problem/symptoms (dripping from rear port). I haven't even dealt with the water valve though because I have some water damage to the connectors for the dustbin and cliff sensors as a result of tilting it forward.

My Roborock Qrevo S has started re-localizing itself on every clean โ€” it spins around to figure out where it is on the map before getting going, even when it starts directly from the dock. It used to just know its position instantly.

With my qrevo S I usually run it on vacuum and follow that up with a vacuum/mop run on the highest settings. It still leaves stuff behind and does a pretty poor job mopping (worse than my swiffer tbh).

Master is maybe 1% better on cleaning and better on object avoidance but not perfect. I tried both Pro and Master and returned Master as I didn't see much difference... S does decent cleaning as well, just slightly worse on corners (but still acceptable).

Everything worked fine, I really love the robot. After 25 total hours of work it stopped going to dock. There is no error, it sees it, goes in, waits a bit and goes out.

I have that same model and it has the exact same problem! I did notice that if I have it set to vacuum only and specify a zone or a room it will raise the โ€œstuckโ€ pad. If it's set to vacuum & mop or any other setting then that pad stays down.

My Qrevo S is having an issue j recently noticed. The right mop pad is stuck in the down position and doesnt seem to move based on surface height or anything. I reached out to roborock but the only assistance they offered was to send it in with an estimated repair cost of 140.

Qrevo S does great on vacuuming and mopping. My mom and brother both have one. With Master you will get slightly better object avoidance, and edge cleaning thanks to extending mops. Per various tests, it still eats cables especially on carpet.

โœ… What Works

  • Vacuuming and object avoidance perform well by most accounts, especially against comparable models
  • Handles general daily cleaning and pet hair pickup adequately
  • Larger dock/mop system appeals to owners who want a hands-off routine when it is working

โš ๏ธ Worth Knowing

  • Long-term reliability concerns โ€” recurring mop-system and dock failures reported around the 1-year mark
  • Mop pad and water-port repairs can run $140+ out of warranty
  • Mopping performance described by some as needing frequent manual touch-ups
  • App/mapping and lidar-sensor issues (including hair-related sensor failure) reported
  • Score revised from an earlier pass in this same correction sweep to accurately reflect the sentiment split above โ€” treat this as the current, corrected figure.
ClearPick Verdict

Owner reports on the Qrevo S skew negative on long-term ownership: 8 of 13 mentions are negative, versus 2 positive and 3 mixed. The most common complaints are long-term reliability and dock/mop maintenance โ€” multiple owners describe the mop system failing after roughly a year (dripping water from the rear port, a stuck mop pad Roborock quoted $140 to fix) and one reports water damage to internal connectors from tilting the unit forward. Mapping/app issues and mediocre mopping performance ("the mop fails to clean well enough that I can go even 2 days without... manual mop") show up repeatedly too, alongside a lidar sensor that stopped spinning from hair buildup in a low-hair household. Cleaning performance itself is generally well regarded while the unit is working. It's a reasonable pick for buyers focused on short-to-medium-term vacuuming performance, but anyone wanting years of trouble-free mopping should budget for repairs or consider a different dock/mop system.
